Jun-Youb (J.Y.) Lee began his Ph.D. at Princeton seminary in 2021 after working in journalism and discerning a call for ministry in the Presbyterian church. Born in Korea, his formative years were in Seoul, New Zealand, and New Hampshire. His academic interests include trans-Pacific history and political theology, and his personal interests soccer and jazz. He holds a B.A. and B.S. in history and management from Penn, M.A. in East Asian studies from Stanford, and M.Div. from Harvard.
