Dr. Amelia Kennedy, Assistant Professor of Medieval Christianity

You are invited to attend our virtual open house session to ask questions, learn more about Princeton Theological Seminary’s degree programs, and meet representatives from the Office of Admissions.

This week - Why Medieval Christianity Matters Today: A Conversation with Dr. Amelia Kennedy

Princeton Theological Seminary welcomed four new faculty members last fall, including Dr. Amelia Kennedy to the Department of History and Ecumenics. Dr. Kennedy earned her PhD in History from Yale and spent the past year on faculty at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz, Austria before joining PTS as an assistant professor of the history of Medieval Christianity.

Dr. Kennedy’s research interests include the history of health, medicine, aging, and disability, and her forthcoming manuscript focuses on aging during medieval monasticism.

We invite you to join us for a conversation with Dr. Kennedy about her work as a religious and cultural historian, the courses she offers at PTS, and how her PTS experience has been so far. As we hear from Dr. Kennedy, we also hope to explore the question of why medieval histories matter for ministry and theological education today.

We look forward to seeing your there!
