Errollyn Wallen's ANON

February 28 at 6:30 p.m.

Errollyn Wallen’s ANON is a fast-paced 45-minute contemporary chamber opera adaptation of Manon Lescaut that explores the themes of exploitation, abuse, vulnerability, and dangers imposed upon women and young girls to provide a glimpse into a world all too familiar. The opera examines the subjects of domestic/familial abuse, human trafficking, and the inequities women face, and was composed specifically to bring these issues to light for young women. ANON is directed by Courtney Kalbacker and performers include Madilyn Crossland, Laura Doyon, Abigail Hart, Carly Henderson, and Sarah Spivack with pianist Yin Zhu.

This event takes place in Mackay Auditorium. After the performance, stay for a Q&A.
