Binu 'Ben' Varghese is a PhD student in religion and society. He earned his Bachelor of Theology from the Senate of Serampore College (University) in India, MBA in Computer Information Systems from Missouri State University, MA in Theology and Culture at Fuller Theological Seminary, and ThM at Princeton Theological Seminary.

Before coming to Princeton Seminary, he worked as an IT business analyst in the corporate sector. His research focuses on intersections of race, caste, and religion among Indian diasporas in transnational contexts. He is interested in decolonial frameworks based on migration, history, experiences, and past memories.

His spiritual and academic formation is deeply influenced by reformed Eastern Christian tradition. He actively advocates social justice and empowers communities of color to work towards cultivating an inclusive, equitable, and anti-racist society.
