Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS) has been engaged in a self-study process since 2017 evaluating all aspects of the institution and identifying areas for improvement. The process will culminate in on-site visits by the two accrediting bodies in fall 2019.
PTS is hosting a comprehensive evaluation visit for reaffirmation of accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) on October 27-30, 2019 and by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) on November 11-14, 2019. The purpose of each visit is to verify that the school meets all applicable standards: MSCHE Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation and the ATS Commission Standards of Accreditation. Comments regarding how well the school meets those standards and/or generally demonstrates educational quality may be sent to the ATS Director of Commission Information Services ([email protected]) at least two weeks before the visit. Comments may also or instead be sent in writing to Dr. Shawn Oliver, Senior Associate Academic Dean and Co-Chair of the Self-Study Process, at [email protected].
