Campus Operations

The Seminary campus is currently closed to visitors, except for those who have registered for events. Otherwise, visitors should coordinate trips in advance with a member of the community. The use of face masks is required in all buildings. Please stay at home if you are feeling unwell or have been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19.

The Princeton Theological Seminary Library is open via swipe card to Princeton Seminary students, faculty, staff, and visiting scholars, via card key access. Swipe into the library using your Seminary ID card and present your ID at the Circulation Desk. The card reader is located to the left of the front doors. Swipe card access will be possible until 30 minutes prior to closing and the Circulation Desk will close for book checkout 15 minutes prior to the library closing.

Each individual is required to swipe in themselves; do not allow anyone else to enter. At this time, guests of any type are not allowed in the building. Swipe card access will be possible until 30 minutes prior to closing.

Fall term hours for the library are:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (last entry 8:30 p.m.)
  • Friday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last entry 5:30 p.m.)
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last entry 4:30 p.m.)
  • Sunday: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (last entry 5:30 p.m.)

Current Princeton Seminary policy for the library includes wearing masks at all times while in the building. Food consumption is allowed only in the Brick Café.

Dining Services

Mackay Dining Hall is open to Princeton Seminary community members from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Community members may buy lunch or bring their own and enjoy fellowship with one another.

The Brick Café will not be serving food or beverages, but seating will be available.

In Mackay Dining Hall and the Brick Café, face coverings are required except while you are eating.


The mailroom will be open and staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Outside these hours, Seminary faculty and staff may access the mailroom via card key access until 6 p.m. Students will have card key access from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Please enter the mailroom via the student lounge door, on the side of Mackay Campus Center near the steps. Please be sure to remember your mailbox key.

Mailroom staff will go to the post office daily.


Guest lodging and meeting space at the Erdman Center will be closed through September 30, 2021.

The CRW fitness centers will be open by September 15. Face coverings are required.

Alexander Hall and Hodge Hall dormitories will be closed for the 2021-22 academic year.
