Leadership

The Women in Ministry Initiative is led by a steering committee of about twenty pastors, friends, Seminary trustees, faculty, and specialized ministers. Mary Beth Anton serves as coordinator of the Initiative.

Coordinator of the Women in Ministry Initiative

Mary Beth Anton is a member of the Presbytery of Tres Rios in the Presbyterian Church (USA). A graduate of Concordia University – Irvine and Princeton Theological Seminary (class of ’89), Mary Beth was ordained to the ministry of word and sacrament in 1997. Following graduation from PTS she moved to Midland, Texas for her first position as a youth director. Over the course of almost 30 years of ministry in Midland, she has had the privilege of serving as a chaplain in an Episcopal day school as well as a pastor in small, mid-sized, and large congregations. Mary Beth and her husband, Jeff Hewett, have been married for over 25 years and are the parents of two grown children.
