Field education connects the classroom and the church, integrating academic learning with the practice of ministry. In supervised ministry settings in churches, hospitals, and social service agencies in rural, urban, suburban, and international settings, students practice acts of ministry and reflect on those actions. They test their call, gain self-awareness, develop relationships, and acquire pastoral and leadership skills. The Office of Field Education is committed to providing cross-cultural, diverse, racial-ethnic, and international sites for ministry.
More details about our program can be found in our Field Education Handbook (pdf).
