Giving Opportunities

Gifts to the annual fund have immediate impact and support financial aid for every student with need, sustain our residential model of formation, and seed new programs in the curriculum and student life. For more information, contact Cheryl Ali, Director of Annual Giving.

Princeton Theological Seminary is committed to providing a formative experience to our students without burdening them with excessive debt. An investment in these leaders is an investment in the future of the church. Your gift allows students to answer God’s call to service.

Our doctoral program is ranked first in the nation for number of alumni serving as faculty at theological schools. Your gift supports Princeton Seminary’s commitment to nurturing young scholars who will train the next generation of Christian leaders.

Gifts to create named professorships allow the Seminary to retain and attract talented teacher-scholars who provide an exceptional theological education to our students.

We believe that students learn not just from books and scholars but from one another. The diverse, ecumenical, intercultural community is an essential part of Princeton Seminary’s educational environment. Your gifts support unique programs to foster community engagement, residential living, and service opportunities.

Embracing the entrepreneurial spirit of our age through many new programs allows Princeton Seminary students to gain critical tools for leadership. New initiatives include the Farminary and a new Master of Arts degree in Theology and Ecology.

Through field education, seminarians discern their call to ministry at more than 500 sites across the country and around the world, in places like Brazil, Korea, Ethiopia, South America, Japan, and India. Students are mentioned in the practical aspects of ministry at churches, hospitals, prisons, and a wide array of nonprofit organizations.

Our library is a center for student and faculty research, as well as a destination for scholars from around the world. Its collections are a key part of the world’s research infrastructure, with holdings of over 1,200,000 bound volumes, pamphlets, and microforms, as well as a digital library of over 80,000 resources on theology and religion. Your gifts support the development of the Seminary’s historic collections and technological advances in research and publishing.

Princeton Seminary faculty and administrators lead research and initiatives in an array of disciplines that contribute to Christian scholarship, ministries, and life. Your gifts support the important work of these research centers and initiatives that not only significantly contribute to sustaining the life of the church, but also adds to a rich educational experience for our students.
