1953 PTS Touring Choir Travel Log
During the last days of the Korean War, the Seminary’s Touring Choir traveled to Japan and Korea. While singing and doing missionary work, they performed 118 times and sang for nearly 43,000 people.
During Reunion 2010, some choir members came to campus to present photos, stories, and memorabilia.
When the Korean War Armistice was signed on July 27, 1953, the choir was just five miles from Panmunjom. John Lee (Class of 1956), left, and Jim MacKellar (Class of 1955) stand at the sign dividing the two Koreas.
