Hebrews 4: 11-16

The passage for this day reminds us of God’s gift of grace through our baptism. It is also a reminder to “let God be God”. That there is a vastness to God’s love and grace beyond anything that we can imagine. We are each called by our baptism to be God’s love and grace in the world.

In the end as in the beginning, God is God:
Loved by us, wanted by us,
Praised by us, served by us;
Filling the folk with the gifts of the Spirit,
Making them whole for the good of the earth

For the hands I touch which are not mine,
Thanks be to God!

For the peace I am promised which the world won’t destroy,
Thanks be to God!

For the hope of life forever through Christ’s death and resurrection joy,
Thanks be to God!

For all God has done without me,
For all God wants to do with me,
For all Christ loves around me,
For all Christ loves within me,
Thanks be to God!

For all the Spirit wants to bring me,
For where the Spirit wants to send me,
Thanks be to God.
