This confidential group will support male students (or male spouses) who want to eliminate compulsive behavior such as viewing internet pornography. Meeting and talking with others who have struggled with this difficult problem can reduce shame and create effective systems of accountability. The facilitator will provide insight about the brain’s involvement and strategies for behavior management.
The group will start on April 13th and meet for 3-4 sessions (or longer if participants are still in the area after the semester ends.) To register please contact firstname.lastname@example.org, the Director of Student Counseling, or leave a message on her confidential voicemail: 497-7891. The typical group fee will be charged to your student account ($5/session if you are in the SHBP, and $7/session if you are not.) But do not let finances stand in the way-- financial aid is available to make this group accessible to everyone.
The group will meet on Saturdays at a time to be decided, in the Witherspoon Street office of Dr. Ralph Piper, PhD, who has led support groups for PTS men before.
