Princeton Theological Seminary to Host Lecture on History of the Death of Jesus
Princeton, NJ, September 16, 2005– Princeton Theological Seminary will host the Reverend John R. Donahue, S.J., the Raymond E Brown Distinguished Professor of New Testament, Emeritus, at St. Mary’s Seminary and University, Baltimore, Maryland, in a lecture titled “The Death of Jesus: Reviewing the History” on Monday, September 26 at 4:30 p.m.
Donahue is an internationally published New Testament scholar whose writings include The Gospel of Mark (from the Sacra Pagina series, Liturgical Press, 2002), The Gospels in Parable: Metaphor, Narrative, and Theology in the Synoptic Gospels (Augsburg Fortress, 1990), and numerous other books and articles. He has served as president of the Catholic Biblical Association of America.
