New! Reunion Week 2009
THE GREAT REFORMISSION:
Being Missional and Reformed in the Twenty-first Century
October 26–30, 2009
Come for all or part of Reunion Week 2009 and connect with friends and classmates, worship in Miller Chapel, and earn up to 15.5 continuing education credits. Join the Great Reformission!
Many of the assumptions about ministry in America have been challenged in recent years.
As the privileges of “Christendom” erode and our ministry context comes to resemble that of the early church, how can our models of ministry become more apostolic? And how can we shift our missional thinking and incorporate the lessons of the Reformed theological tradition into our service to the gospel?
At Reunion Week 2009 you will:
• Hear President Torrance’s address at dinner on Tuesday, and join President and Mrs. Torrance for a reception at Springdale on Wednesday afternoon.
• Hear lectures by author and scholar Diana Butler Bass, mission and evangelism professor Scott Sunquist, and Lincoln scholar and author Ron C. White Jr.
• Attend a Bible study on the Book of Philippians, or workshops on preaching, missional leadership, contemplative activism, and baptism and Christian identity.
• Hear from the Distinguished Alumnus, Ron C. White Jr. (M.Div., 1964)
• Celebrate the ten-, twenty-five-, and fifty-year classes at dinner on Tuesday and reconnect with classmates from your decade at dinner on Wednesday.
