Emily J. Anderson is the pastor of New Providence Presbyterian Church in Maryville, Tennessee, in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. She served on the initial design team for the Princeton Seminary Institute of Youth Ministry, and now serves on the board of Maryville College. She has a long history in and love for youth ministry, and is the coauthor of Can We Talk? Conversations for Faith, a confirmation curriculum.

Tom Stephen serves as the pastor of Monte Vista Presbyterian Church in Newbury Park, California. Having served as a youth pastor for over 15 years, Stephen seeks to help those in youth ministry to develop healthy spiritual practices to enjoy ministry for the long haul. He and his wife Ginny Stephen, authored Fearless: Forty Reflections on Fear, which combined extreme surf photography and a systematic study of scripture to encourage to the reader to place their fears in God's hand.
