Cloud of Witnesses offers theological reflection on youth ministry. It brings together scholars, pastors, lay people and youth to support church leaders in their ministry. This journal is for anyone concerned with reaching young people with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Mark Yaconelli is co-director of the Youth Ministry and Spirituality Project at San Francisco Theological Seminary. He is a veteran youth minister and speaks at youth ministry events and conferences across the country. Interviewed by Alisa Clancy, KCSM, San Mateo, California.

Jana Childers

Jana Childers is a professor of homiletics and speech communications at San Francisco Theological Seminary and a Presbyterian minister. This sermon was preached at the April 1999 Princeton Forum on Youth Ministry. It also appears in the book Birthing the Sermon: Women Preachers on Creative Process, edited by Jana and published by Chalice Press(1-800-366-3383).

Jeremiah 20: 7-10, 14-18 and "One Week" from the album Stunt by Barenaked Ladies. Eric is pastor of Scottsdale Congregational United Church of Christ in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is a biblical scholar with a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary. Interviewed by Blaise Lantana, KJZZ, Phoenix, Arizona.
