Néstor Medina is a Guatemalan-Canadian, He is married to Samia Saad. He completed his bachelors Cum Lauda. He focuses on the areas of theology and culture, specifically interculturality. He has extensive experience working in various geographic and cultural contexts. More recently he has been teaching courses on Theology and Culture and Interculturality. Published numerous articles on Latin@ theology, theology and culture, and Pentecostalism. Also author of Mestizaje: (Re)Mapping ‘Race,’ Culture, and Faith in Latina/o Catholicism (Orbis, 2009). He is co-chair of Latina/o Religion, Culture, and Society group at the American Academy of Religion. Presently he is working on a sequel to his first book, and another on a Pneumatology of culture.
