  • Rev. Francisco Javier Goitía-Padilla (2005-2006 Dissertation Fellow) defended his dissertation entitled, “Identity, language and Theology for the Proclamation of the Gospel” on April 12 th at Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago. Rev. Dr. Goitía-Padilla is Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology and Homiletics at the Seminario Evangélico de Puerto Rico.
  • Rev. Cristian De La Rosa (2011-2012 Dissertation Fellow) defended with distinction her dissertation entitled, “Contextual Relationship of Power and Agency: Our Lady of Guadalupe as a Pueblo's Symbolic Resource” on April 24th at Chicago Theological Seminary.
  • Rev. Santiago O. Piñon (2009-2010 Dissertation Fellow) successfully defended his dissertation, "Francisco Vitoria and His Search for Justice: A Theological and Rhetorical Consideration", at the University of Chicago on April 12 th.
  • Miguel Romero (2011-2012 Dissertation Fellow) successfully defended his dissertation, "St. Thomas Aquinas on Disability & Profound Cognitive Impairment", at Duke University Divinity School on April 20th.
