The theme for the 2018 Annie Kinkead Warfield Lectures is “Hope for Even the Most Wretched? Speaking of Election.” These lectures will reflect on election language in Scripture and prayer, and consider some implications for faith, the church, and public life. A reception will follow the final lecture, which also serves as Dr. Dirk J. Smit's inaugural lecture as The Rimmer and Ruth DeVries Professor of Reformed Theology and Public Life.

The Warfield Lectures are named in honor of Annie Kinkead Warfield, wife of Dr. Benjamin Breckinridge Warfield who served as professor of theology at Princeton Theological Seminary from 1887 to 1921.
