• Hispanic Leadership Continuing Education Events
Conferences and seminars around pertinent theological and social issues. Topics covered have been as varied as apocalypticism, gang violence, immigration, church growth, pastoral integrity, domestic abuse, stewardship, and globalization.

The Program provides education through a series of courses and events that promise to expand your horizons. Since half of our recent programs were closed with a waiting list, early registration is encouraged (and includes a 20% discount).

About the HLP Program

The Hispanic Leadership Program is a continuing education program established to nourish and strengthen a cadre of Latino(a) leaders for service in the church and world. The program provides education for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking leaders. Since its inception, more than 400 people have participated in different programs and events. The program is designed to engage ecclesial, marketplace, and global leaders from a Latino(a) Christian perspective. Presently we offer the following courses and events:

ACADEMY OF BIBLICAL AND THEOLOGICAL STUDIES (ABATS):
• Latino(a) Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies

To enroll in the ABATS program, you must submit an application and 3 letters of reference. To download the application and forms for references, click here.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS:

• Certificate in Christian Caregiving

An opportunity to meet and hear authors talk about their work and its impact on Latino(a) communities. These events may be in Spanish or English.

The Hispanic Leadership Program is for you, if:
• you have an interest in theological reflection
• you wish to serve the church as a commissioned lay pastor
• you wish to accept the challenge of an academically thorough program that will produce indelible rewards for your faith and work communities
• you are a professional in any field who seeks to enhance your work with a broader theo-ethical education and dialogue.
