Student grants are available only to men and women who are preparing for full-time Christian service at the college or seminary level. Grants shall be made only to students who are from the South Carolina counties of Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, Union, and York. Students from Laurens County shall be given first preference.

Loan
Students who are in their junior or senior year of undergraduate study or who are enrolled in a recognized vocational or professional school may be eligible for loans from the Knights Templar Educational Foundation. Applicants must be native-born Kentuckians or resident in Kentucky for five years and must be enrolled in an academic degree program or in a recognized vocational or professional school. The maximum loan amount will be $2,500 when one scholastic year is required for completion of the course of study; $1,500 when two years are required for completion; and $1,500 in each of the last two years when three or four years are required to complete the course of study. The maximum of loans to any one student will not exceed $3,000. Repayment will be made following the recipient's graduation at an interest rate of 5%. Selection is based on scholarship, character, and dependability.
