A Place of Scholarship

At Princeton Seminary, scholarship and spiritual formation go hand-in-hand. Princeton’s fifty faculty members are scholars, church leaders, and dedicated teachers. A curriculum effective in the fall of 2008 establishes two short terms, one in January and one in May, so students can have more ­intensive learning experiences, many taught by practitioners, including some ­experiences in international settings. Princeton’s field education program is required for all master’s-level students and offers placements in churches, ­hospitals, colleges, and nonprofit organizations in rural, suburban, urban, and international settings, enabling every student to integrate knowledge and understanding with leadership skills and experience for a strong foundation for ministry.

The Seminary’s theological library is a magnet for scholars around the world that houses more than 500,000 cataloged books and journals. “Wired” classrooms, course packs available for download, Ethernet ports in all apartments and dormitories, and online Blackboard discussions expand learning beyond the walls of the classroom.
