Ellen T. Charry is associate professor of systematic and historical theology at Princeton Theological Seminary and editor of Theology Today. Her books include By the renewing of your Minds: The Pastoral Function of Christian Doctrine (1997) and Inquiring after God: Classic and Contemporary Readings (2000). Her recent essays appear in Theology Today, The Ending of Mark and the Ends of God, Lament: Reclaiming Practices in Pulpit, Pew, and Public Square, Anglican Theological Review, Sewanee Theological Review, and Essentials of Christian Theology. She serves as an editor-at-large for The Christian Century and on the editorial boards of Pro Ecclesia and The Scottish Journal of Theology. She is a member of the Theology Committee of the House of Bishops of the Episcopal Church USA. She is currently working on retrieving the Christian doctrine of happiness.
