We realize that housing is an important factor in your seminary experience. Our hope is to provide a convenient, affordable, and clean residence for you and your family during your studies here.
The Seminary maintains a fully staffed Office of Housing and Auxiliary Services to assist students. The office is responsible for housing both married and single students, and for providing information about off-campus accommodations. All Seminary housing is located in the Princeton area, which is made up of picturesque countryside and pleasant residential communities.
Family student housing at Princeton Theological Seminary includes the Charlotte Rachel Wilson Apartment complex, Roberts Hall apartments, and Tennent Hall apartments:
Charlotte Rachel Wilson Apartments
Roberts Hall
Tennent Hall
Princeton has three dormitories and one apartment building for single students:
Alexander Hall
Brown Hall
Hodge Hall
Witherspoon Apartments
All dormitory rooms and apartments have data ports for access to the Seminary’s computer network, cable access for the Seminary's cable tv system, and phone jacks for telephone connection.
Each year, both single and married students seek housing other than that offered by the Seminary. The Princeton area offers a variety of townhouses, condominiums, and apartment complexes. On the average, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units in the area are usually double the cost of those at the Seminary. Single rooms to rent are also available through area homeowners.
Housing will be provided to those full-time M.Div, M.A., M.A.T.S., M.Div./M.A., and Ph.D. students who have completed a housing application and provided a $100 admissions deposit by March 1. Any special requests will be prioritized based on the date of admission. Students who have been admitted after March 1, or who have submitted the completed application and deposit after that date, will be assigned rooms or apartments, if available, based on when the housing deposit is received.
Apartment residents must submit a security/damage deposit of one month's rent to the Office of Housing and Auxiliary Services upon arrival. Dormitory residents must submit a security/damage deposit of $150 upon arrival.
More detailed information on these policies will be mailed to each student upon admission to a full-time degree program.
