The Center of Continuing Education Book Series
Meet the Authors

Everything Must Change

This event is filled. Calls will be taken for the waiting list starting March 3.

The Author: Brian McLaren
The Book: Everything Must Change: Jesus, Global Crisis, and a Revolution of Hope

Tuesday, April 15, 2008
6:30–8:30 p.m.
Location: Stuart Hall - Room 6.
Instructions will be mailed to registered and wait-listed participants on Monday, April 7.

In his latest book, Brian McLaren poses two questions:
• What are the world’s top crises?
• What do the life and message of Jesus say to those global crises?

What McLaren sets forth in his provocative, unsettling work is a “form of Christian faith that is holistic, integral, balanced, that offers good news for both the living and the dying that speaks of God's grace at work both in this life and the life to come, both to individuals and to societies and the planet as a whole.”

Brian McLaren, author, speaker, pastor, and emergent church leader, was born in 1956 and graduated from the University of Maryland with degrees in English (B.A., 1978, and M.A., 1981). From 1978 to 1986, McLaren taught college English, and in 1982, he helped form Cedar Ridge Community Church, an innovative, nondenominational church in the Baltimore-Washington region. He serves as board chair for Sojourners, and is a founding member of Red Letter Christians, a group of communicators seeking to broaden and deepen the dialogue about faith and public life. Brian and his wife, Grace, live in Maryland and have four young adult children.
