Conflict Resolution in the Workplace

This course is being offered by the Continuing Education and Professional Development Program of the School of Social Work at Rutgers University, and is offered at Robin’s Nest in Glassboro, New Jersey.

There are many different pressures confronting employers and employees in the workplace: downsizing, understaffing, outsourcing, harassment, and interpersonal confrontations. Unresolved conflicts can sometimes lead to verbal or physical violence. It is important to have tools to be proactive against conflict and to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. This workshop will give social workers and EAP counselors techniques and strategies for helping resolve workplace issues quickly and fairly, before they get out of control.
