Dissertation: "Isaiah Imagined Anew in the Book of Daniel"
Explores the theological goals and the hermeneutical and
literary strategies at play in the adaptation of Isaiah in Daniel's allusive
discourse. Argues that Daniel's several allusions to Isaiah forge a major
contribution to what the text means to say about God's ways in the world, and
about God's ineluctable plan for Daniel's suffering community and its
rebellious oppressors within and without. Anticipate completion in autumn of
2003.
