Charles T. Haley Professor of Old Testament
Theology. B.D., Union Theological Seminary in Virginia; Ph.D., Harvard
University. He is a former President of the Society of Biblical Literature and
is presently Editor of Theology Today.
He also serves as Editor of the Westminster Bible Companion commentary
series and General Editor of the Abingdon Old Testament Commentaries as well as
Old Testament Editor of the Interpretation series. Miller’s teaching and
research interests lie primarily in the fields of Old Testament theology and the
history of Israelite religion. The Books of Deuteronomy and Psalms are a
particular focus of his teaching and writing. Among recent publications are The
Religion of Ancient Israel (2000) and Israelite
Religion and Biblical Theology (2000). (Presbyterian)
