Finding your way to Princeton Theological Seminary

Getting to PTS is not too difficult thanks to the various forms of transportation available in the Northeast.

Arriving by Car
From south and west of Princeton: Take I-95 North through Philadelphia and Trenton, remaining on it as the interstate becomes 295. Take the “Princeton Pike North” exit and continue on Princeton Pike for approximately five miles. Immediately after passing Library Place (on the left), the main entrance to the campus will be on your right.

From north of Princeton: Take the New Jersey Turnpike and exit at 9A (New Brunswick, Route 1). Follow Route 1 South to Alexander Road (Princeton). Turn right onto Alexander Road and continue to the entrance of Princeton Seminary (the first left turn after College Road (Alexander Road will be Alexander Street at this point).

Arriving by Air
From Newark Liberty International Airport: The nearest major airport to Princeton is Newark Liberty International Airport, which is about forty miles north of Princeton. From the airport, follow the driving directions above (“From north of Princeton”). The Princeton Airporter shuttle service takes you to the Nassau Inn in Princeton. Contact http://207.57.4.76/ or call 800.385.4000 or 609.587.6600 for reservations. The fare is $28 one-way and $51 roundtrip.

From Philadelphia International Airport: The Philadelphia International Airport is one hour south of Princeton. From the airport, follow the driving directions above (“From south of Princeton”). There is no shuttle service to Princeton from Philadelphia International Airport.

Arriving by Train
From New York and points north and Philadelphia and points south: New Jersey Transit services Princeton from the north (New York, Newark), with connecting service from the south (Trenton, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington). Some Amtrack trains stop at Princeton Junction (closest stop). Take the train to Princeton Junction and transfer to the shuttle train (the “Dinky”) into Princeton. Walk or take a cab to the Seminary. If walking, walk to the right when departing the shuttle train to the corner of University Place and College Road (McCarter Theater across the street on left). Cross the street and continue on College Road. Cross intersection for Alexander Street. The Seminary’s campus is across the street on the right. It is about a five minute walk from the shuttle train station.

Parking
Parking for events on the main Seminary campus and at the Erdman Center of Continuing Education is available in the lot behind Speer and Luce Libraries. The entrance for the lot is off of Library Place and can be accessed by turning onto Armstrong Place next to Luce Library.

Parking instructions, which may include parking passes for a Continuing Education event, are included with confirmation letters for event registrations.

Parking is also available after weekday work hours and on weekends in the staff parking lot and parking deck on the main campus. Both entrances are located off of College Road across the street from the Springdale golf course. 

Parking for Those with Disabilities
Parking for those with disabilities is available on the Seminary campus. There are signs indicating where such parking is available in the lot behind Speer and Luce Libraries, as well as one space in the courtyard of the Erdman Center of Continuing Education. Other spaces are available, and are indicated by signs,  in front of Miller Chapel, Brown and Hodge Halls, and in the staff parking lot and parking deck.
