Finding your way to Princeton Theological Seminary
Getting to PTS is not too difficult thanks to the various forms of transportation available in the Northeast.
DIRECTIONS TO PRINCETON
Arriving by Air via Newark Liberty Airport
NJ Transit has a train station at Newark Liberty International Airport, easily reached by monorail (called AirTrain on the signs in the airport), which takes you directly to Princeton Junction via the Northeast Corridor Line. From Princeton Junction take the local train shuttle(“Dinky”) to Princeton.
When you get off the train in Princeton, walk to your left toward the only stoplight you can see. There will be a Wawa market on your left, and you will turn right on Alexander Street and walk up the slight hill to the PTS campus on your left. Erdman Hall (the Center of Continuing Education) is diagonally across the campus, across Mercer Street on Library Place, just opposite the side entrance to Speer Library. Please be advised that Erdman Hall is a 1/2- mile walk up a slow incline from the Princeton shuttle train station (“Dinky”). There are public phones available at the station if you require a taxi.
Arriving by Car
From the New Jersey Turnpike (southbound)
- Take Exit 9, New Brunswick. After toll booth, follow signs for Route 1 South. Take Route 1 South into Princeton, following directions from Route 1 southbound (below).
From Interstate 295
- Northbound, follow I-295N until it ends and becomes I-95S. Take exit 8B (Rt. 583,
Princeton Pike North) and proceed five miles to the Seminary. Princeton Pike becomes Mercer Street.From Interstate 95
- (from the Philadelphia area) Travel north into New Jersey. Take exit 8B (Rt. 583,
Princeton Pike North) and proceed five miles north to the Seminary. Princeton Pike
becomes Mercer Street.- Southbound, follow 206S into Princeton. At traffic light in Princeton turn right onto
Stockton St.(This is Rt. 206S continuing.) Turn left at first light onto Library Place. Erdman Hall is on your right.From Route 1
- Southbound, take the Alexander Rd. west exit toward Princeton, which follows quickly after the Washington Rd. traffic light. Follow Alexander Rd. (which becomes Alexander St.) to the Seminary.
- Northbound, follow Rt. 1 north across the Delaware River through Trenton until you
reach I-95 in Lawrenceville, NJ. Take I-95S to exit 8B (Princeton Pike North) and proceed five miles to the Seminary. Princeton Pike becomes Mercer Street .From the Pennsylvania Turnpike
- Take Exit 351 (marked Philadelphia) and follow Rt. 1 north for a few miles. Take the exit for I-95N and follow I-95N into New Jersey. Follow directions from I-95 on previous panel.
Parking for Erdman Hall is located behind Speer and Luce Libraries. To unload, you may use the courtyard in front of Erdman Hall (10-minute parking only). Street parking is limited to two hours, and overnight parking on Library Place is prohibited. (Princeton Borough Police will ticket you!)
